Privacy Policy Password Manager
Last Updated: September 28, 2026
Welcome to Password Manager ("we," "our," or "the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the highest level of security for your sensitive data.
This Privacy Policy explains how our App handles your information, our strict on-device data storage practices, and the third-party services used within the App.
By downloading, installing, or using Password Manager, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Zero-Knowledge Architecture & Local Storage (100% On-Device)
Your privacy and security are the core foundations of Password Manager:
Local Storage Only: All your sensitive data—including usernames, passwords, credit card numbers, bank accounts, Wi-Fi keys, secure notes, and personal credentials—is stored exclusively on your local device.
Military-Grade Encryption (AES-256): Your vault items are encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 (Advanced Encryption Standard 256-bit) encryption before being saved to your local device database.
No Developer Access: We do not own, operate, or maintain any external servers or cloud databases to collect, transmit, store, or view your passwords. We cannot view, access, recover, sell, or share your vault contents with anyone.
Biometric Authentication: Unlocking the App via Fingerprint, Touch ID, or Face ID is processed entirely by your device’s operating system (Android BiometricPrompt / Apple LocalAuthentication APIs). Biometric data never leaves your device and is never accessible to this App.
2. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)
To support and provide the free version of Password Manager, we integrate Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google LLC.
Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain non-personally identifiable device data to serve and optimize advertisements, which may include:
Device Identifiers: Such as the Google Advertising ID (AAID) on Android and the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS.
Diagnostic & Performance Data: Application crash logs, performance metrics, and ad interaction data (impressions, clicks) to troubleshoot and improve ad serving.
Coarse Location Data: General non-precise location (derived from IP address, such as country or city) to serve regionally relevant advertisements.
Google AdMob does NOT have access to your passwords, personal notes, or encrypted vault entries.

Google Advertising Technologies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
(Note: Users who subscribe to the Premium version enjoy a completely ad-free experience, and all Google AdMob ad requests are entirely disabled).
3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
If you choose to purchase an optional Premium subscription, the transaction is processed directly and securely through:
Google Play In-App Billing (for Android devices)
Apple App Store In-App Purchases (for iOS devices)
We do not collect, process, or store your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or financial payment details. All purchases are governed by the respective terms of Google Play or Apple App Store.
4. Data Backup and Restore
You have full control to generate an encrypted backup file (PasswordManager_Backup.pmvault) directly to your device's storage (such as your Downloads folder).
Backup files remain strongly encrypted and can only be restored using your master security credentials within the App.
You may independently choose to transfer or share your backup file to your personal cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive, iCloud, or external drive).
5. Your Rights and Ad Tracking Controls (Opt-Out)
You have full control over personalized advertising on your mobile device at any time:
On Android: Go to Settings ➔ Google ➔ Ads ➔ Delete or Reset Advertising ID.
On iOS: Go to Settings ➔ Privacy & Security ➔ Tracking (or Apple Advertising) and turn off tracking permissions.
6. Children's Privacy
Password Manager is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features, operational practices, or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly to this web page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
